Today we went to the swamp behind my neighborhood. I almost stepped on a praying mantis!
The praying mantis was waiting to catch something. A big spider came out and the praying mantis tried to catch it. After that, the praying mantis tried to catch me! It hopped on my boot and climbed up my leg. It was fast, and even though I like bugs, I screamed!
Then we went even further down to the stream to see if we could find any snakes. I heard the leaves crunch. I screamed again! It was a cat.
